Assumption of Risk

I understand that I am voluntarily attending a private house concert held on residential property located adjacent to a lake or other natural waterfront area.

I acknowledge that attendance at this event may involve risks, including but not limited to:

• Slips, trips, and falls on uneven ground, decks, stairs, docks, pathways, lawns, gravel surfaces, or other areas of the property.
• Injury resulting from proximity to water, including accidental entry into the lake, drowning, or other water-related hazards.
• Exposure to weather conditions, wildlife, insects, and natural environmental hazards.
• Injuries arising from the actions or negligence of other attendees.
• Risks associated with dancing, physical activity, alcohol consumption, or recreational activities that may occur during the event.
• Any other foreseeable or unforeseeable risks associated with attending a private outdoor gathering.

I freely and voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my attendance and participation.

Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to attend the event, I release and forever discharge the property owners, event organizers, hosts, performers, volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, and any affiliated parties (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to any injury, illness, death, loss, or property damage sustained by me while attending or participating in the event, except where prohibited by law.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or legal expenses arising from my conduct, actions, negligence, or failure to comply with event rules while attending the event.

Alcohol and Substance Use

If alcohol is served or consumed at the event, I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my own decisions and actions. I agree not to operate a motor vehicle while impaired and accept full responsibility for arranging safe transportation if required.

Health and Medical Treatment

I certify that I am physically capable of attending the event and participating in any activities I choose to undertake. In the event of an emergency, I authorize emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary and accept responsibility for any associated costs.

Photography and Recording

I understand that photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings may be taken during the event. I grant permission for my likeness to appear in event-related promotional materials unless I notify the organizers in writing before the event.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.

Acknowledgement

I confirm that I have read this waiver, fully understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily. I understand that by clicking document, I may be waiving certain legal rights.
